Role Play

Week beginning 22nd June

We may not be able to travel to a hotel just yet, but we can have fun setting up our own at home!

There are lots of Maths and Literacy links in this role play area so it is great for Home Learning too!

Let's get ready for opening!

Ideas for resources

  • tray with tea things
  • towels
  • dressing gowns
  • empty shampoo/shower gel bottles
  • bags and suitcases
  • old phone
  • wheeled toy or trolley to use for 'room service'

Week Beginning 15th June

Airport

Have fun setting up your very own airport at home!

This a great area of play to develop a wide range of learning: Digital Time (Arrival and Departures), Money (Airport shop and café), Speaking and Listening (Announcements and customer interaction) and Writing for a purpose: Boarding passes, passport information and in-flight menus!

There are downloadable materials that you may want to use in the PDFs below.

However, if you would prefer to carry on with a car theme, why not set up an airport

car-hire company?

Our first flight is due to depart at 09:00 on Monday 15th June!

Keep an eye on the Departure and Arrival times!
