Week beginning 20 April

We hope you all enjoyed your Easter break. This week, we would like you to continue with your spellings and number facts from your folders. Remember to read a little every day as well.

Please continue to work through the suggestions on your summary sheet for now and remember to research a famous person from our list of Queen Elizabeth I, Louis Braille, Isaac Newton and Florence Nightingale. You could also find out about some other famous people from either the past or the present.

This week, BBC Bitesize are introducing some new material which can be accessed from www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize

There are three lessons for each day. The screen shot below shows you what is being covered today. Why don't you give it a go?

For Numeracy this week our focus will be on Money - counting and making amounts and change. As well as completing the workbook pages below, you should make this as practical as possible. You should continue to do Daily 10 each day working on a different mental maths skill each day e.g. times tables, addition, subtraction, halves and doubles etc.

Finally, we've attached a PDF file of an activity that you might like to complete during this week as part of literacy/WAU. As you all know, we are living in strange times at the moment and we thought that completing your own time capsule booklet will serve as a reminder of this in years to come. Please use this as an opportunity to record how you lived through this time in history.

Check back next week for another update and remember, Stay Home, Stay Safe.
