WAU

During the Second World War, many posters were displayed in order to give advice to the public. These encouraged people to do their very best to contribute to the war effort, whether that be to grow your own food or to volunteer. I suppose we can compare these to the public service advertisements and posters around today which are there to encourage social distancing in the fight against Coronavirus.

We would like you to create your own World War II poster. You can base it on one of the ones shown below or perhaps you may have some ideas of your own. Make it as bold and bright as you can. If you would like to do it on a computer or iPad that’s fine too. Remember to take a photograph of your poster and show it to us on SeeSaw… or email it to Mr Dickson so he can put it on Twitter. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Also, this week we have included a template to make your own Spitfire glider. There are two versions… one in colour and one in black and white should you wish to colour it in for yourself (and save some printer ink in the process!). Perhaps you could get someone to video you flying your Spitfire and send it to us.

We are now on Episode 9 of Spywatch. Watch this using the link below and complete the attached activities.
