This week we are thinking about Evacuation during World War II. Hopefully you are all enjoying Spywatch and you can appreciate how difficult it was for Norman, Dennis and Mary to leave their homes and go to the country during the war. Of course, some stays were much better than others!
In Northern Ireland, children were evacuated from Belfast to the country. Some may even have stayed in our area. Why don't you ask grandparents and great grandparents if they remember hearing about anyone who was an evacuee. Perhaps they heard stories from their older relatives?
