Water ☔️🪼🐠💧
As part of our water topic we designed, drew and painted different parts of a coral reef. After researching animals that live in a coral reef we drew, painted and coloured our sketches. Finally we put it all together and made our magnificent collage🙌😀
We investigated what substances dissolved in water. We experimented with sand, coffee, salt and sugar.
Results sand didn’t dissolve
Sugar, salt and coffee dissolved best in warm water🙌
After designing, making and painting our Rathlin Island lighthouses, we decided to light a bulb at the top.
We used bulb holders, bulbs, wires and an AA battery. Working together as a group made it easier to light 💡
Filtering dirty water experiment
We predicted then tested which material was best at cleaning dirty water.
The best material was a paper towel from the classroom.
It still wasn’t clean enough to drink!💧☕️🫖
