P.E.

Week beginning 22nd June

This week we are giving you a diary page for you to complete. You can draw or write some of the ways you are getting exercise at home. It might be going for a walk, having a run in the park, getting on your bike or perhaps doing a job at home that involves lots of moving, like digging in the garden, sweeping or cleaning.

First, try the 'Start the Day with Exercise' song. It will definitely get you moving!

  • Click on the link below and scroll down to Week 1 (Move-it Monday) for 'Start the Day with exercise'.
  • Another catchy tune to get you moving is found in Week 5 (Move-it Monday): Wake Up!

Week Beginning 15th June

If you have some energy left after Sports Day, here are some skills you can try!

Click on the 'This is PE' link below and scroll down to select the lessons.

  • Lesson 5: Balloon Blasting
  • Lesson 6: Jumping in Combination

Week Beginning 8th June

Many of you are still practising for your 'Home Sports Day' this week. If so, please use the resources from last week below.

If you would like to try something different, click on the 'This is PE' link below (Week Beginning 25th May) and try these activities.

Week Beginning 1st June

In June we normally have Sports Day in school.

This year we will be doing Sports Day at home!

Let's start practising the P2 events!

  • Running Race
  • Bean Bag Throw
  • Egg and Spoon Race

To help you with your throwing skills, select Lesson 19 (Throwing Techniques) from last week's link below. Here you will learn how to improve your under-arm and over-arm throws.  (The over-arm throw is good for when you are throwing a long distance. Remember to get your arm in the L shape.)

There are more ideas for running your own 'Home Sports Day' below.

Choose a day either this week or next, to hold your own special event!

We would love to see any photos of your races!

Have fun!
