Monday 4th May - Friday 8th May

Hi P6,

We hope everyone had another great week working hard at home as well as doing lots of other nice activities. We are missing you all and looking forward to when we are all back together in school again.

Lot of important information if you scroll down the page as well as the Literacy and Numeracy weekly work at the top.

However first we want you show you what we got up to for our 2.6/26 challenge. Last week we challenged everyone to try and come up with a challenge to get involved in the 2.6 / 26 challenge. https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/52419127

We had great fun with this. Have a look at some of our videos/pictures below.

Mrs Ratcliffe set herself the challenge to learn all 26 letters of the alphabet in sign language!

Mr Forbes set himself the challenge to walk 26 patio tiles, 13 up and 13 back. On his hands!!!

Mrs Henry set herself the challenge to cycle 26 miles!

Mrs Ginniff went for a 2.6 mile run but unfortunately forgot to take a picture!

Hope everyone had fun with the challenges. If you want these could be emailed to Mr Dickson for our school twitter page.

Other important info/work:

1) Complete the daily Literacy and Numeracy which is attached in the Word Documents at the top. Don't forget about your daily 5 a day numeracy.

2) Transfer: Stick to the schedule and time limits. Keep going over your mistakes.

3) Reading: No new millionaire readers this week. Still lots who are very close. This is the final month we have access to Accelerated Reader. Lets all try to get a reading test completed at some stage this week.

4) Spellings: Next page in your phonics books.

5) WAU: Continued work on the Japan Project. Remember to try and complete 2 pages/slides in your own words every week.

6) Others:

*Keep being active, lots of PE ideas in the additional resources section.

*Try to build an ICT coding project in Scratch with the help of the how to videos (link in ICT section).

*Also try to do lots of other creative tasks such as art work or baking. A special mention to Farrah Q as well for baking. Farrah and her Mum posted a video of how to make scones. Mrs Ratcliffe made them this week and they didn't last long! Mr Forbes is going to attempt them this week! Excellent instructions and video presentation. Thank you Farrah smiley

We hope you enjoyed all of our challenge videos/pictures this week.

Keep working hard at all the set work, behave at home and stay safe!
