Monday 18th May - Friday 22nd May

Your most important task this week is to get signed into Google Classroom! All of the information is at the top of the P6 year group page. Please check that your classmates have seen this as well.

Hi P6,

Hopefully you have had another successful week of home learning as well as doing lots of fun activities around the house.

Our teachers have been extremely busy this week getting our new resource of Google Classrooms set up and ready to go. So we have been learning lots this week as well! You will already have seen all the notes above and the sections at the top of the P6 Year Group page. Get signed in and we all look forward to talking to you and getting to see your work in the virtual classroom.

1) Again - Get signed into Google Classroom. This may be on a laptop or a tablet/mobile (download the app).

2) Complete the Literacy and Numeracy documents attached as normal. Lots of links in their to help you with your work.

3) AQE - Keep to the schedule. Later in the week we will be collecting your % scores for tests completed this week. We will put a form in our AQE Google Classroom for this. Also make a note of questions you found difficult or didn't understand.

4) Reading: A massive well done to Antonio K and Bethany S who both became Millionaire Readers this week! Well done!

We only have Accelerated Reader for two more weeks, so keep reading and completing quizzes linked to the books.

5) WAU: Keep working on your Japan project. We will share some of our ideas and facts in our Google Classroom. Also check out the new Japan art page we have added. There are lots of ideas here to try out from designing your own manga comic book character to creating some origami!

6)World Mental Health Awareness Week :

This year we have spent a lot of time thinking about how we can look after our mental health and how we can be ‘kind to our minds’.
Among the P6 teachers we relax and keep minds healthy and focussed in many different ways - spending time in the gym, the golf course, spending time with family and friends, walking or gardening. This week, we want you to check out the links at the bottom of this page and take some time for you and remember to be kind to your mind...

Hopefully all of the above makes sense,

From now on we will be doing shorter posts on this Year Group page as most of our discussion will be happening in our Google Classroom. We all look forward to seeing you there.

Have fun, keep working hard, behave at home and stay safe!smiley
