Making an Ancient Egyptian Shaduf

We have been learning how important the Nile was for life in Ancient Egypt.  The farmers made a shaduf to collect river water for their crops and animals.

We went outside to collect forked and different lengths of sticks to make our own.  We then had to follow instructions to complete a working model!
