As we near the end of your primary school journey, you need to start to think about what secondary school will be like. There will be many changes ahead and we always try to do what we can to help you make this transition. 
We had arranged for our Education Welfare Officer to come in to do a talk with you all. As this can no longer happen, we want you to watch the Moving On Moving Up video which covers many of the areas that you may have questions about.
When you have watched the video, please complete the reflection task where you look back over your time at The Armstrong.

Remember to discuss any worries with an adult at home.

Tuesday 23rd June Moving On: My Friends

Over the years, you have developed close friendships and have got to know your fellow classmates. 
1)Have a think about your class - draw portraits of your classmates and write their names - you can look back at this in years to come to help you remember who you went to school with.
2) Think about who in your class is most likely to become each of the things listed on the medals sheet. Write the name of the person you think it most applies to. Choose a different person for each award.

Wednesday 24th June: Top Tips for Secondary School

1) Read the Top Tips for Secondary School document.
2) What do you think is good advice for moving to secondary school?
     Write your own idea on a page or word document. 
3) Read the 'Words of Wisdom' document.
4) Write your own favourite quote or positive message on the template below.

Thursday 25th June: Final tips for moving on.

1) Read the following resources from the Education Authority.Discuss any concerns that you have with an adult at home. If you talk about how you are feeling, it will help you to process the emotions and you will feel better for it. :)
2) Add your autograph to the document below. You can put a short message too if you wish.
3)Finally, please read the poem that we have put up ...we can't believe our journey with you has come to an end.
