P5 Comprehension

Short story challenge...

This week your short story challenge of 50 words is...

”Down on the farm!”

The same rules apply as last week....50 words only, full sentences, interesting verbs and adjectives and an exciting short story!

If you can, record your story and send it to Mr Dickson

Grammar Revision

This week we are revising speech marks and reported speech.

Using the verbs shouted, whispered, moaned, cheered and cried, write an interesting sentence with each one, using speech marks in the correct places. Don’t forget question marks and exclamation marks if you need them.

Then take each sentence you have written and rewrite it in reported speech.  Check your Literacy Facts book if you can’t remember how to do this.

Talking and Listening

If you have time this week, take one of the new ideas in the Talking and Listening section on the general tab and prepare a 1 minute talk on that subject.  Remember you can’t read it out...you have to present your talk, just as we did in class wink
