Some of you are really close to becoming 'Millionaire Readers'!!!! Keep reading and quizzing to see how if anyone can make it!!

Creative Writing Challenge

This week we are setting you a challenge to write a short story of 50 words with the title “I wish I was at the beach!”

How to do it....

1. Write down all your ideas on a piece of paper, then write a short story

2. Check over that you have written in full sentences, used speech marks properly and great adjectives.

3. Now count your words - you have to have 50 words exactly!!

4. Add adjectives, take out unnecessary words, shorten sentences, add speech etc. to get to 50 words.

5. Read your story aloud, then ask an adult to record you and send it to Mr Dickson for us to hear!

Fun Challenge...

Can you say the alphabet backwards?  Record yourself and send it to us with your story!

Revision

At this time of the year in class we would have been giving you revision tasks to prepare for Friday Recaps.

This week revise nouns, verbs, adjectives, verbs and adverbs.

Make a list of 10 nouns and add an adjective to each one - only use a colour word once!

Make a list of 10 verbs and add an adverb to each one.

For Friday Recap, revise the meaning of noun, verb, adjective and adverb and write one example.
