ICT!

Education City are posting daily challenges that parents can access through their social media.

There are also lots of really good Literacy and Numeracy activities on Education City which you could use to work on your addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills as well as you grammar and punctuation skills.

See the link below!

During School Closures, Discovery Education Espresso's popular daily challenges are available on our social media channels!

Each weekday morning, you'll find a new post ready to share.

Search #EspressoDailyChallenge on TwitterFacebook or Instagram.

ICT and Coding Apps:

You could spend some time working on your ICT skills as part of your weekly school work at home.

For example: you could type out an information page all about Water to work on the skills of typing and editing text. You could also copy and paste a picture from the internet into your document. Or you could create a power point presentation all about the Water topic, adding text, images, sounds and transitions to your slide show. Then you could present it to your family!!

Or just use your imagination! You could read a Bible Story and retell it in your own words using MS Word or MS Power Point, adding text and images!

It is good to keep up with your ICT skills and build on what you already can do! smiley

There are some Coding apps available for the iPad too:

1) Daisy the Dinosuar

2) A.L.E.X (There is a free version and then a PRO version, which you have to pay for. A.L.E.X. is a programme where you have to code a robot ti reach a certain location. You can input and then debug your commands, if necessary, before trying again.)

These apps are good for your thinking and logical reasoning skills!
