Hello!

Term 3

On what should have been our first week of Term 3 I am feeling sad that we’re not all together ready to start our final term in P6 and I’m looking forward to seeing you all again when it is safe for us to do so.

I hope you all enjoyed your Easter holidays and took a well deserved break from formal learning. You’ll see on the P6 page that your weekly numeracy and literacy have started again along with your new WAU topic - Japan. I know many of you have been so excited to start your independent project ! You will find some web links and ideas to get you started and some photos from my trip to Japan - I really can’t wait to see your finished projects on a truly magnificent country.

Mr Forbes has been busy sorting out coding opportunities too - check out the link on the year group page.

I hope that those of you who have opted to do AQE preparations are working out a timetable which works for you - remember to stick to the time limit for each paper and make sure an adult goes over it with you - this really will help!

I’ve continued to spend a lot of time outdoors - we’ve even pitched our tent in the back garden which you can imagine Jake and Maisie love!

If you’ve got out of the habit of watching Newsround and checking C2K newsdesk a new term is the perfect chance to get back into it!

Thinking of you all,

Mrs Ratcliffe 🤗

Easter 🐣

I hope that you are all keeping well and taking a bit of a break from school work (though some of you will still have Easter packs to work through!).
I’m delighted to see so many of you continuing to login to Accelerated Reader and taking quizzes too. We’ve even got ourselves a millionaire reader now!
I’ve been spending time rediscovering my love for baking - I’ll make some nice treats to share when we get back to school!

I hope you’re all keeping safe and staying at home, I hope you have a lovely Easter weekend.

Mrs Ratcliffe 😊
Here’s a little emoji quiz for fun!

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re finding a routine that works for you and managing to get through your school work too.

I was delighted to see some of you are really enjoying the Accelerated Reading articles / quizzes - one person read almost half a million words this week along! 🤩

Remember to keep reading and keep those mental maths skills sharp with lots of practice! Don’t forget to check in with C2K Newsdesk and Newsround too.

 Missing you all 🤗

A few memories from over your P6 year to (hopefully!) make you smile! 🙃

Friday 20th March

Hello all!

I hope you’re all having a restful day today & making the most of the sunshine.
Yesterday was a bit crazy getting everything sorted but hopefully you all have plenty to keep busy with! Keep a close eye on the Year Group page for activities.

Mrs Ratcliffe :)
