Grammar

This weeks grammar focus is prefixes.

What is a prefix?

A prefix is a group of letters placed before the root of the word to change its meaning for example happy - unhappy.

BBC Bitesize https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z8mxrwx/articles/z9hjwxs has a great resource for explaining prefixes.

Check out out this link to BBC Supermovers to help explain prefixes in a fun and active way

WALT: give words an opposite meaning by writing un  before them.

Again there are 3 sections, so you may want to complete these over a few days.

Something extra using the prefixes ‘un’ and ‘dis’
