Christmas Christingles!
We made Christingles in class today! We learnt about how these decorations are made in churches and schools for advent and Christmas time and how each part symbolises something - the orange is the world, the red ribbon is the blood of Jesus shed for us, the candle is Jesus, light of the world and the cocktail sticks with dried fruits and sweets are the four seasons and the four points of the compass (north, south, east and west). We had lots of fun learning about this Christmas tradition and making our own Christingles!
