Burning Candle Investigation
We carried out an investigation to see what would happen to the flame of a candle when the oxygen was cut off from it. We used three different sized glass jars and timed how long it took for the candle to go out each time the different jars were placed over it. We made time predictions and then used the stop watch to time how long it actually took for the flame to go out each time.
This helped us to understand why Howard Carter lit the candle and peered into the tomb of Tutankhamun
