World War II Day

We had a World War II themed day to finish our topic this term. Lots of evacuees came to school complete with their identity cards, evacuation labels and gas masks. We sang some songs from World War II and enjoyed a fantastic display of genuine items from the war brought in by our good friend Gary Hall and his son Matthew, a past pupil of ours. We played some wartime playground games and also used Minecraft to construct an Anderson shelter. We even experienced an air raid drill in the classroom where we had to hide under our desks until we heard the all clear siren. It was a great day!
