Outdoor Numeracy

We have been learning to find the area of regular and compound shapes. We wanted to learn how to find the area of right angled triangles. 


We took our roles within the group very seriously!  We used sticks and cubes (to check our angles!) to make right angled triangles, we measured them and found the area. 
 

We also went outdoors to create our triangular numbers...the 10th one required everyone’s help!!
