Northern Ireland Topic Work

Our WAU Topic this term is Northern Ireland and where we live. We have been looking at maps in the atlas. We have looked at the continents in the world. Then we looked at the United Kingdom and talked about its countries and capital cities. Finally we focused in on Northern Ireland - we are learning the names of the counties and we are thinking about the towns, rivers, mountains and landmarks in our country.

We have been looking at maps of Northern Ireland, Europe and the World. We talked about the points of the compass and grid references and how these can be used to find the location of a place or to pin point a certain thing.
