Literacy Tasks:

3) Learn Spellings and complete Spelling activities. You may also wish to write sentences using the words in your spellings this week.

4) Continue with your reading. There are lots of books available online. See the Other Information and Guidance Section at the top of the P5 home learning page for information on how to access books on Libraries NI. There are some suggestions of possible P5 level books to read. You can still take quizzes on the Accelerated Reading Programme too!

Please continue to work on the Persuasive Writing / Points of View Literacy Tasks for April / May (posted in the Literacy Section last week). This is week 2 and the work should take three weeks to cover. 

Remember to think about and plan what you are going to write about before you put it onto paper.

Make sure you have information and examples to back up the point of view you have taken for the given topic - I think you should be able to eat anything at break time / I think healthy snacks are a good idea.

Write your persuasive argument and make sure you are using 'bossy' words and language including first of all, secondly, thirdly, furthermore, finally etc. to put your point of view across.
