This week in Literacy we would have been ending the year by having some fun looking at riddles. Below are a selection of riddles which we would simply like you to find the answers to… use the work you have been doing on homonyms (Homonyms are two words that are spelled the same and sound the same but have different meanings e.g. Bright - very smart or intelligent / filled with light) and homophones (Homophones have the same sound but different meaning, and they are often spelled differently e.g. won and one) to help! This should give you some clues.
We will post the answers on this page later in the week...… UPDATE: ANSWERS REVEALED BELOW!
If you find any other riddles or word puzzles and would like to try them out on us, please post these on SeeSaw. Or why not have a go at writing your own riddle for us to try and figure out the answer to on SeeSaw. We’d love to see what you come up with!
There’s also a PowerPoint where you can try to guess the jungle animals from the clues.
Have fun with these!
