Forest School Term 2

Whittling sticks and following our safety rules% Thumbs tucked in and whittle away from your hand.

Building a 3D pyramid. We had to use 8 sticks all about the same size.

We remembered the rule “Leave no trace”and made sure we tidied up any manmade materials, before we went inside.

We created different fractions from natural materials. We made halves, thirds, quarters and fifths using daisies, cones, leaves and twigs.

Afterwards we split different numbers of children into quarters.

The same number of children were in each group.

The numbers 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24 could be split into quarters because they are multiples of 4.

Today we estimated and made a metre long stick with natural materials.
Then we measured them with a metre stick to check how close we were our estimates were very accurate 🌟🌟🌟
