Exploring clay

In P1 we have been learning about clay. We got to explore a huge slab of clay and talk about how it looked and felt to touch.

The children got to poke, pinch, squash and roll the clay. They pinched and pulled and flattened it too. We also watched a video all about clay. The video told us where clay comes from and how it is used to make different things. The children watched a teapot being made. The class are now looking forward to their next clay session.
