Hello P5!
Welcome back to our P5 Home Learning page.
We hope that you all had a lovely Easter break and that you and your families are all keeping safe and well!
We miss teaching you in school, but we know that you will be working hard at home and keeping up with all of the activities on our P5 learning page.
1) You will find all of the Literacy and Numeracy work below under each heading. There is also an outline of the written Literacy tasks to be completed over the next three weeks - the focus is Persuasive Writing.
2) Spellings were stuck into your Phonics Books before school finished, so please continue to learn one set each week.
3) You also have your Number Facts and Tables books to work through. You can find lots of interesting interactive games online to work on your multiplication, division and fractions skills e.g. websites such as Topmarks, Education City and Espresso. Some may also have additional worksheets that you can print off and use!
4) It is also important to keep up with your mental maths. You can use the Daily 10 activity on the Topmarks website to work on these skills!
5) As well as this, you have your Literacy Facts Booklet to work through too. You can revise all of the grammar and punctuation facts and complete any activities in the booklet.
6) Remember that we are still working on the Water Topic. You will find the guidance page in the WAU tab at the top of our P5 page. Continue to research information about water using the headings provided. If you have already completed a poster or booklet all about Water then think about how you could present this information in a different way! Could you make a power point on the computer (use your ICT skills!) or could you create some lovely art work linked to Water?
7) It is really important that you keep reading books or listen to audio books. Remember to complete quizzes on these using the Accelerated Reading Programme. You can download books to read from NI Libraries or read some books you have at home.
8) BBC Bitesize have designed a fantastic resource which will be updated daily. It has a variety of activities, explanation videos and facts covering a wide range of subjects. It is definitely worth checking out!

9) We hope you are continuing to enjoy the lovely weather we are having. You will find some really interesting PE activities in the Additional Resources Section at the bottom of the class pages which you could do outside.
We hope you enjoy this time learning from home and continue to keep safe and work hard!
