Peace IV Collaboration and Sharing in Education Project

Peace IV Collaboration and Sharing in Education Project

The Peace IV Collaboration and Sharing in Education is seen as an extension of The Armstrong's school ethos.

As part of our Peace IV programme, we plan a varied and interesting selection of activities for pupils in conjunction with partner schools. Activities arranged serve to enhance work covered in several areas of the Northern Ireland Curriculum whilst contributing to cross community relations.

Children and staff involved have worked collaboratively with Mt. St. Catherine's Primary School, Armagh in recent years to study local heritage and participate in a variety of activities across the NI Curriculum.

Our S1 and P7 pupils annually take part in a joint schools project, Allset, with Lisanally Special School and Mt. St. Catherine's Primary School.

Through our activities we aim to:

*help our pupils develop self-respect and respect for others,

*promote equality and

*provide opportunities for building relationships with those of different backgrounds and traditions
