Our Solar System
We had great fun with our inflatable planets in the playground! We spaced ourselves out to demonstrate the distances of each planet from the sun and then each planet got the chance to complete one orbit of the sun. Some had a much greater distance to travel than others! We remember the order of the planets by using this saying: My Very Excellent Mother Just Sent Us Noodles. This reminds us that Mercury is the closest planet to the sun, followed by Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
