Our new World Around Us topic is Mammals. We are learning about what makes a mammal a mammal and we are thinking about how to identify and sort animals into their classes - vertebrates and invertebrates. We also worked in groups to sort images under the correct headings.
Mammals Memorise Activity - we worked in small groups and took turns to go out to the cloakroom and look at a poster called 'What makes a mammal a mammal?'. We had to report back something from the poster outside to the scribe in our group so that they could recreate the poster as accurately as possible. We worked really hard! Here you will see our group work and our finished posters!
Mammals Art work - we used pastels to create our own mammal pictures. Can you guess what mammals we have drawn?
Camouflage Memorise Task - we worked in small groups with one child as the scribe. We had to take turns to go out to the cloakroom and look at a poster on camouflage. We had to try to memorise the exact detail on it - information, images, colour, size and positioning of the text etc. We then had to report back to the scribe and they had to re-create the poster as accurately as possible! This helped us to learn more about mammals and to work together in groups!
